The PODERI MORETTI of Francesco Moretti is the naturaltransformation of a family company, result of the union of familiesOcchetti and Moretti, already present in Piedmont since 1630 as itcomes out from the ancient registers of landed property in MonteuRoero.Poderi Moretti is a historic enterprise with property winery andvineyards in Monteu Roero and various plots in differt villages for atotal extension of 40 hectares of which 25 of vineyard in the Roeroand Langhe area.At the present time the winery is conducted directly by the owner FrancescoMoretti, supported by his daughter Alessandra (Export Manager), his son Riccardo( Enologist - Cellar Master) and a team of capable employees for the managementof all vineyards and wine making operations.The production and vinification takes place in two different farms, thathistorically belong to the Moretti and Occhetti families, which are located both inthe district of Occhetti in Monteu Roero.The headquarter houses the office and the barrel cellar, that counts many Frenchoak barrels where we refine the wine of some of our best selections."Cascina Occhetti" is instead the headquarters where most of the major winemaking process take place: here you can find the necessary equipment forcrushing and pressing the grapes, the stainless steel tanks for fermentation andfor storage red and white wines in separate rooms.
